On the banks of the Ural River in the town of Atyrau, a private company launched a competition for ideas to expand its offices, create a company cafeteria, and build a new parking lot for employees.
The existing L-shaped building was located on the inside of the block, facing inward and without a view of the river. After analyzing it, we decided to place the new office building facing the Ural River to make it an iconic element with spectacular views of the surroundings. The four-story parking lot located between the two buildings would serve to connect the new building with the existing one through the company cafeteria, located on the top floor and opening onto a large terrace with a view.
The architectural proposal placed great emphasis on opening up to the outside and the views through a large number of windows and double-height spaces with plenty of light. One of the most significant features of the volume is the cantilever that protrudes from the top, where the auditorium would be located and above which are the new executive offices with a large private terrace.
Finally, to achieve a better integration into the area, the space surrounding the buildings was treated as green space, promoting a pleasant working environment surrounded by vegetation where people can disconnect and socialize.
