Situated on an irregularly shaped plot with a change in level of over 10 metres in Caldes d’Estrac, we were commissioned to design a complex of eight single-family homes complete with a communal garden and swimming pool. The project was carefully studied to ensure the best possible orientation for both the individual dwellings and the communal space.

The proposal groups the dwellings in pairs, placing four homes on the lower part of the plot and four on the upper section, thereby leaving the central platform free for the communal garden and pool. Depending on the orientation and specific location of each home, the massing varies to open up towards the views or gardens, resulting in a complex with a sense of dynamism, as every house is unique.

All the houses are characterised by their sea views, large terraces, and private garden spaces. The living rooms in every dwelling are visually connected to the views and the garden or terrace, allowing the interior to extend outwards through large glazing. This seamless flow creates a sensation of greater spaciousness.

Regarding materiality and building services, the complex has been designed to ensure the buildings age well over time while minimizing maintenance costs.
